Thanks to Mr. Robert Coombs and his friends for putting together this workaround.

Currently Bermuda is not one of the Countries for which an Electronic Program Guide is available for Media Center.

The following procedure will allow you to set up a guide for most but not all of the Cablevision channels. There is a list of the Bermuda Channels for which no guide is available at the end of this document. Some of the Local Network affiliates have the wrong data but most of the data for prime time is correct.

If you did not set up Windows Media Center yourself, please request assistance for the following steps from whomever set up Windows Media Center for you.

Setup In Windows

1. Go to Start Help and Support Keep your computer up to date with Windows Update

2. Select Custom

3. Apply all the High Priority updates

4. Apply the hardware and software updates which apply to your system

• Specifically DO select Update Rollup 2 for windows XP Media Center 2005

• DO NOT select Update Rollup 1 for eHome Infrared Receiver for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005

• DO select the updates related to Net Framework

Go through the update again because it might find another update is required after installing Update Rollup 2

Setup In Media Center

1. Go to Settings General Automatic Download Options
Disable automatic guide update

2. Go to Settings General Media center Setup set Up TV Signal
If your current region is United States then select cancel > Finish

• If your current region is not United States then change it to United States and go through the Setup of your T/V signal again.

• Make sure that the clock on your PC is the correct time and is set to (GMT-04:00) Atlantic Time(Canada)

3. Go to Settings TV Guide Set Up Guide Listings
Enter 48220 as your Zip Code

4. Select Plymouth WOW Detroit (digital) as your provider

It will take 5 to 10 minutes (broadband) to download the initial guide

5. Go to Settings TV Guide Edit Channels

6. Select "Clear All" Select "Edit Numbers"

7. In the first box (2 WJBK-Fox Affiliate) enter "10" then press Enter

If the Dialog "Conflict" comes up Select "Share Channel"

Repeat for all the channels in the following list entering the Bermuda number instead of the Detroit number. The "detroit" number should appear to the right of the box after you've entered the "Bermuda" number. As you enter the new numbers the list will often jump to the new location and you need to use the up/down keys to get back to the correct location in the list. After you've entered all this data move the Green cursor back to square next to first channel. Use the Enter key to check all channels for which you have changed the numbers. i.e. all the channels which have a small number on the right of the box. Check channel 7 as well as this is the only channel which happens to have the same number in Detroit and Bermuda. This will enable the channels to be shown on the guide. If you decide that you do not want a particular channel displayed on the Guide then you can leave the box unchecked. You now have Guide data for all the channels which are also available in Detroit. You can still select all the other local channels by typing in their channel numbers but they will not be selected if you press the Channel Up/Down buttons. If you'd like to add these channels so that they are selected with the Up/down buttons do the following. You can also Go to Settings General Automatic Download Options To Enable automatic guide update but some people have reported that this can overwrite the channel changes that you have entered manually but this does not happen on all systems.
