BERMUDA CABLEVISION HOSTS “SATURDAY WITH THE GM” EVENT
AT BOAZ ISLAND ON JULY 24

(Hamilton, Bermuda – July 15, 2010) – Bermuda CableVision is bringing back its popular “Saturday with the GM” events, in which the company invites customers and members of the public to an informal outdoor gathering with food and refreshments and an opportunity to meet with CableVision’s senior managers.

Hosted by General Manager, Terry Roberson, the next “Saturday with the GM” event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, at Boaz Island playground, opposite the Boaz Island Shell gas station.  CableVision managers will be on hand to meet and talk with customers, answer their questions, gather their input about current and future services and address any concerns they may have.  The event will also be an opportunity to find out about CableVision’s digital services, including new TV channels, HDTV, Broadband Link high-speed data services and more.  CableVision will once again be offering free cold drinks and hot dogs supplied by Winky Dinky Dog from 11:30 a.m., as well as give-aways, contests and chances to win prizes.

Terry Roberson, General Manager of Bermuda CableVision, says: “This programme was very successful last year and we felt it was time to catch-up with our customers again. One of our key priorities as a company is to be in close touch with our customers and to make sure we are meeting their needs and expectations. These informal, face-to-face gatherings are a great way to achieve that.

“After last year’s programme, we took the feedback we received from customers at these events and applied it directly to improvements in our customer service organisation. So we’re really looking forward to the event at Boaz Island playground and to connecting with customers there and elsewhere around the island at future events. This time, we are starting at the west end of the island and working our way east.  We’re also inviting non-customers to join us.  We’ll be showing off some of our latest products and there will be food, refreshments and fun. These are family-friendly gatherings.”

CableVision’s “Saturday with the GM” programme was launched in 2009 and involved a series of

informal events in locations across Bermuda including Paget, Somerset, St. George’s and Hamilton. 
The “Saturday with the GM” initiative is designed to help CableVision provide better service through increased communications and dialogue with its customers.

Future events at other locations around the island will be announced in the coming weeks.
