BERMUDA CABLEVISION AND WOW COME TOGETHER TO SPONSOR EXTENDED VANCOUVER 2010 OLYMPICS COVERAGE
(Hamilton, Bermuda, February 11, 2010) - Local cable companies, Bermuda CableVision and WOW, have joined together to offer extended coverage of the Olympic Winter Games, taking place in Vancouver, Canada, from February 12 to 28, 2010.
Bermuda CableVision has received the territorial rights to broadcast coverage of the Olympic Winter Games and has shared these rights with WOW to ensure that Bermuda residents can watch the full footage. Subscribers will be able to watch live and pre-recorded coverage of the event across a wide variety of channels. Bermuda CableVision and WOW will also be showing an additional feed of the coverage, including footage of the opening and closing ceremonies. To view this, CableVision subscribers should tune into channel 99 and WOW customers, channel 103.
Terry Roberson, General Manager of Bermuda CableVision, says: “We are sponsoring coverage of the Olympic Games as we feel they are an important international sporting and cultural event. We wanted to ensure, through our agreement with WOW, that the full splendour of Vancouver 2010 could be enjoyed by Bermuda residents at their convenience.”

Over 80 countries will be competing in this year’s Olympic Winter Games, which are expected to draw 3 billion television viewers from around the world. The Vancouver 2010 programme includes sports as diverse as: skiing, biathlon, bobsleigh, curling, figure skating, ice hockey, snowboarding and ski jumping.
