BERMUDA CABLEVISION EMPLOYEES MAKE A SPECIAL HOLIDAY
FOOD DONATION TO HANDS OF LOVE

(Hamilton, Bermuda, December 11th, 2008) - Bermuda CableVision lends a helping hand for a third consecutive year to Hands of Love, a community service organisation. Hands of Love has been delivering food and clothing to people in need since 1980 and Bermuda CableVision employees show their support once again by donating non-perishable food items worth $1,000 to Hands of Love for the Christmas season.

CableVision's partnership with the organisation dates back to November 2005 when Fern Wade, Administrator of Hands of Love, was recognised with a Cablevision Community Service Award for her commitment to ensuring that no one in Bermuda goes without the basic amenities of life.

Rollin Nathan, Bermuda CableVision's Sales Manager, says: “Fern Wade is an exceptional advocate for those less fortunate in the community and the CableVision team is happy to aid her efforts in making the holiday season jolly for all. The Hands of Love team strives to ensure that no family goes without the basic necessities of life, especially during the holidays, and we are continuously motivated by their diligent work to assist the community in this manner. We hope that our food donation will put a smile on the faces of those families in need and offer them a more enjoyable holiday.”

Fern Wade accepted the donation at CableVision and expressed her gratitude for the assistance: “Many people overlook the growing number of needy families on this beautiful island, but the reality is that a large number of families are struggling. We are fortunate to have the assistance of CableVision for a third consecutive year and their donations have provided meals for over 300 families. Each year, Hands of Love relies on the generosity of people and businesses in the community to help us provide needy families with a joyful Christmas experience. CableVision has truly adhered to our motto, ‘it's not about me, it's about we' and we are grateful for their support during the 2008 Christmas holiday.”
