FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW, BERMUDA CABLEVISION EMPLOYEES MAKE A SPECIAL HOLIDAY FOOD DONATION TO HANDS OF LOVE

(Hamilton, Bermuda - December 6th, 2007) - Bermuda CableVision today announces that, for the second year in a row, company employees have donated non-perishable food items worth $1,000 to Hands of Love, a community organisation that has been delivering food and clothing to people in need since 1980. 

CableVision's partnership with the organisation dates back to November 2005 when Fern Wade, Administrator of Hands of Love, was recognised with a Cablevision Community Service Award for her commitment to ensuring that no one in Bermuda goes without the basic amenities of life. 

Rollin Nathan, Bermuda CableVision's Sales Manager, says: “We continue to be impressed by the work of Fern Wade and Hands of Love.   Ms. Wade and her team of volunteers first came to the attention of our Community Service Award nomination committee back in 2005, and since that time we have been looking for additional ways to support the efforts of Hands of Love.   The dedicated team of people at Hands of Love work tirelessly to assist those who need help the most, and we at CableVision continue to be inspired by their commitment to the community.    We hope that our food donation will benefit Bermuda's neediest families this holiday season.” 

Fern Wade accepted the donation at CableVision last Friday and explained how she was feeling going into the holiday season: “There are many people in Bermuda who need support and love, and we are dedicated to addressing their needs.  Throughout the year and especially during the Christmas season, we rely on the generosity of businesses and people in the community to help us bring joy and happiness to those who are less fortunate than ourselves.  After all, at Hands of Love, our motto is ‘it's not about me, it's about we'.  For the second year in a row, the employees at CableVision have shown us that they embrace this motto and we thank them for their kindness.”
